the ride takes you throughout the White Sands National Monument by moonlight! They close the monument off to traffic, and all only bicycles for the evening. The region is a vast playground of gypsum sand dunes, white by day, and a bright white by night! The riding surface is really asphalt, but is covered in gypsum, so really is more suitable for an off-road adventure...
